Your almost 2!

I cannot believe I have let a whole year go by without updating this thing but there is no time like the present right?.. Madison is almost two, and looking at these pictures from her birthday last year I can just see the extreme change and difference. So your almost two Madison and there is probably tons I could say about you, but lets start off with what I remember. You are full of energy every day, right when you wake up you start calling Momma and Daddy. You put alot of emphasis on the word Daddy. During the day when it is just the two of us you always want to play blocks and play with your tea set. You love Doc McStuffins, I have to admit it's one of my favorite kid shows. You have started this rambling thing, where your not really talking your just kind of babbling in a high pitch voice.. I'm not going to lie it kind of drives me nuts sometimes but its your way of communicating (I guess). Your hair has gotten really long and I couldn't tell you how much you weigh or how tall you are right now. We will find all of that out at the end of this month when you will have to get shots. You always come up to me and say "Mom hold" and yes I spoil you and do it everytime.. who could say no to those precious blue eyes saying please. By the way you can say a LOT of words.. I have no idea how many but you say:
"please, thank you, momma, daddy, backpack, map (yes Dora played an influence in that), hold, apple, red, blue, green, pink, pop, gigi, pawpaw, jo, one, two, three, uh oh, pretty, shoes, out, juice"
There are alot more but my mind is drawing a blank. You have everybody worried that your not really saying full sentences and talking a whole lot, but I'm not worried I know you can you just are spoiled and don't have to :)
You are very sweet and caring. You will come up to me a lot and just hug me for no reason or want me to hold you and it really melts me. You love trying on everybodys shoes. You find a pair of shoes that aren't yours and just walk around in them for a while. You LOVE LOVE to be outside. It doesn't matter if it is 107 degrees you would stay out until you had to come in. Yesterday we went to Olive Garden for dessert and you put your cup on a coaster before anybody else did. You just do small things that amaze me. You love jewlery. You play with one of my old purses and always put it on your shoulder and grab your baby and say bye. You are nice to everybody you meet. You will usually smile or say hey to strangers (Not sure how I feel about that yet).
You love to read books and do puzzles. You have started to get an attitude. If you get mad beacause something gets taken away you will lay in the floor and just sit still. Yeah thats really not allowed. You started rolling your eyes, which just completely astonishes me. Who taught you that? You will eat pretty much anything we put in front of you. Your favorite foods are spaghetti, mac and cheese, Chick Fil A, green beans, creamed corn & cookies. The only thing that you really don't like are tacos. I don't see how thats possible but anyways. You drink probably eight cups of juice a day which is just crazy. You don't like milk, but you take vitamins. You love playing with babies and taking care of them (its really sweet).
You don't look very happy in this picture but I think its cute. You were really tired. We finally had to start laying you in the crib so we wouldn't be up all night trying to get you to sleep. It has been a good adjustment, now you lay in your crib and know its time for bed. You always hold your silky to go to sleep which is pretty precious. Everyday around 12:30 or 1 you will take a nap. Usually you will sleep for about two hours. You love your cousins Jackson and Jacob and squeal pretty much everytime you see them. We take you to church and you use to cry and not like going in the nursery but now we can't get you to leave, you love Mrs. Bonnie and playing with all the other kids. Mommy likes coloring with you. If we put a dress and say your pretty you will start twirling until your so dizzy!

This summer we have gone to the pool alot and to say you love it is an understatement. You have fun playing in the water and you love bathtime. I could go on and on about you all day or probably all week long but point being you are so precious and I can't believe your mine!
I love you- Momma :)

Madisons 1st Birthday!

Well I guess this is better late than never, right? Madison's birthday party was on August 27th. We had it at my Meme's house because it is big & always super clean. Anyways the party was at 11 am because Maddy usually has an afternoon nap. We got to Meme's house pretty early to start making the food & stuff. Josh went to go pick up a Chickfila chicken nugget tray, balloons & ice while we got ready. Maddy was asleep most of the morning. Everybody helped out with her birthday. I wanted to have it during lunch so everybody could eat. We had chicken nuggets, cucumber sandwiches, rotel corn dip, ham & cheese sandwiches, white chocolate popcorn, chicken salad crossaints & a cheeseball. It was all very delicious. I was SUPER stressed out but everybody helped and it all came together beautifully for our baby girl. The whole theme was Maddy's Pink Lemonade! I wanted to go all out even though she won't remember I can show her pictures from that day. Here are some pictures..

It was just a bit stressful trying to get everything together but we got it all together. I was so thankful to have all of our wonderful family there with us. Madison may have been a bit of a surprise but I could not have asked for a more beautiful sweet little girl. She is perfect & so sweet & we love her to death. The whole day was just really fun & I'm glad our girl had fun! I love watching her grow.
Love to all,
Kristin :)

The weekend so far..

This week has been insane to say the least. Wednesday was Maddy's first birthday, we had fun. We celebrated her birthday on Saturday and I'll post about that later. Anyways, Wednesday everybody was gone to work so it was just the two of us. We woke up and I played with her for a while. We had to go to the health department to get WIC & can I just say that we would have been spending close to two hundred dollars a month had it not been for WIC. Thank you Lord! We came home and Maddy's new thing is reading, she loves I mean LOVES books. She will hand you one to read and before your done she grabs it and hands it back to me so I will read it again. Its precious.

After all that we went to Zaxbys for lunch, just the two of us. It was fun & different because I've never eaten out with her by myself. We just chilled the rest of the day then Gigi and Aunt Marlee bought cupcakes. We ate dinner, watched Big Brother (my fav. show) and when Josh got home we let her have some cupcake and sang Happy Birthday. It was a good day! I can't believe she is 1 and I can't believe how much she has changed my life. She is all I want and need. It's beyond amazing being this little girl's mom and having the privilege to stay at home with her every day. She's just precious and such a blessing!

Eating her icing!

Thursday- Well it was a really good normal day! We had our normal morning routine then Grandma came over! Grandma gets off early on Thursdays and comes over sometimes to play with Maddy. She brought Madison french fries & of course she loved them. Then we went to Aunt Marlee's first home volleyball game. They play up to 5 games and whoever wins 3 wins. Gigi got off early to go with us. Gigi and I forgot Maddy's pacifier (this is a BIG deal). We didn't know if she was going to be good or what. Guess what? Madison was perfect! She sat through almost 4 games and was an angel, then she fell asleep. I was in shock. After Aunt Marlee's game we went to eat at El Torito. It was yummy! We had noticed Madison choking on nothing alot that afternoon and night. It worried us. We got her bath and put her to bed but she woke up choking and it sounded wet. Josh and I took her to the Prattville ER and waited a while. She has ANOTHER ear infection and upper respiratory infection. Poor baby got sick literally overnight! We didn't get out til 2 and I went to Walgreens to get her medicine. She didn't sleep at all on Thursday night. Friday was pretty bad because Madison just didn't feel good. Anyways we ordered Marcos Pizza and watched Jumping the Broom. I loved the movie and pizza! We got Madison's bath over with and Dad and Mom offered to stay up with her. She didn't sleep well on Friday night either. Poor Baby!
Well today is Saturday! I think Madison has felt better. Hopefully she will sleep tonight. We stayed home all day today. Josh had to work til 1. He got home & we ate some Zaxbys and played with Madison. She is such a sweet baby, even when she feels horrible! We watched some of the AL & AU game. War Eagle! Josh would say Roll Tide! I decided I wanted to cook for everybody tonight so I made some sliders and twice baked potatoes. They were a hit and we watched some of the Oregon & LSU game while we ate. It has been a good weekend so far minus my baby being sick. I'm so happy that Josh is off tomorrow and Monday!

I hope everybody has a great weekend & I'll post later about our angel's first birthday party!
Thanks for reading~ Kristin :)

Almost a year.

Well it has been a rough week to say the least. Actually the past two weeks have been rough. We found out Tuesday that Maddy has an infection in both ears & she is getting in her back molars. This has meant absolutely no sleep & lots of cuddling in bed with Daddy and Mommy. I have always said "I will never let my child sleep in the bed with us", yeah that changed after one night of no sleep. Anyways, I'm hoping she will feel better by this Saturday for her birthday party!

Maddy is almost a one year old! 10 more days..
She is weighing about 20 lbs and Josh says she is 28 inches long..
She loves playing with her blocks & baby doll
She drags the baby doll everywhere and trys to climb with her but falls
She eats four jars of food a day and 3 bottles
She loves buttered toast and scrambled eggs .. she does not like fried eggs .. we tried
She will eat ground beef from the mexican restaurants but not baby meat.. I don't blame her
She use to sleep from 8:30 til almost 7 but now that has totally changed because of teeth and being sick
She loves to explore everything now I can't keep her in the living room .. she goes everywhere
She loves Barney, CMT & Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
She waves to the people singing on the TV
She likes playing with her tea pot
She loves going outside
She likes riding in the car but pulls her canopy down on the car seat and props her feet up
She is just a happy, healthy, precious baby girl ! I love you Maddy!!

Going to Chuck E Cheese

She loved the cup!

We rode this with her probably 5 times.. She couldn't get enough!

Getting ready for her birthday!

Thats all for right now- Kristin :)
